Brussels Press Club launched
Brussels finally has a Press Club for international correspondents, just like New York, London, Moscow, Hong Kong and many other major centres. Brussels Press Club Europe opened its doors in February in rue Froissart 95, in the shadow of the buildings of the EU institutions. The BPCE website has been designed and developed by Griffiths & Company.

European Commission DG Development - Live multimedia event reporting
A 12 member News Team organised and managed the coverage of the two-day European Development Days conference in Brussels, December 2010. Responsible for same day online content (media quote service, session summaries, press releases, etc), voice-overs for TV coverage and TV interviews with participants. The team was also responsible for the two-day DEvDays 2011 event in Warsaw(below).
EU Presidency / DG Research - The EU Presidency's high-profile event on SMEs and innovation in November 2010 was moderated by Team leader Nigel Griffiths.
Centre for the Development of Enterprise (CDE) - rapporteur services. The CDE's international two-day event was a summarised with highlights edited for publication, including one on one interviews with key particpants.
Davos - Rapporteur and editor - World Economic Forum Members of the News Team have provided rapporteur services for WEF's Davos Annual Meetings since 2003 as well as regional meetings in Austria, Greece, Russia, and Latin America. They have also provided rapporteur services for WEF's Special Annual Meetings Middle East in Jordan and Egypt since 2004.
World Bank, Washington, DC The News Team supplied the moderator and facilitator for a World Bank Brainstorming Session - 'Public Information: Aid effectiveness, the Paris Declaration' and the 'HLF3' in Accra. Services included leading two sessions, animating participants, writing follow-up reports and recommendations with a communications strategy leading up to the Accra High Level Ministerial in September 2008.Dubai International Finance Centre - Rapporteur The News Team provided rapporteur services for the first-ever DIFC Week conference, Dubai, November 2007. Responsible for same day online content and after-event special reports.
Development Policy Forum - Rapporteur The team provided rapporteur services for a series of roundtable debates on development policy issues for Friends of Europe.
Global Forum on Migration and Development, Civil Society Day Rapporteur services during the one-day Civil Society Day organised by the King Baudouin Foundation and attended by more than 200 participants included editing of the final report presented at the GFMD high-level governmental discussions the next day.
Directorate General for Trade - News Team We organised and managed a five-member News Team to cover a two-day Seminar on 'Sustainability Impact Assessment'. We also provided moderator services for the wrap-up session, as well as writing and editing services for the final report.
The Transatlantic Dialogue - Video News Releases Members of the News Team provided television and editing services with rapid turnaround to the European Broadcast Service following a series of satellite-linked policy debates on current political and economic issues between Brussels and Washington D.C. organised by Friends of Europe, Gallup Europe and the Atlantic Council.
